Rafael Feltran-Barbieri

Rafael is a Cities4Forests Researcher in WRI Brasil’s Forest Program. A biologist and economist by training, he supports a variety of other projects, including the Global Restoration Initiative and Natural Infrastructure Initiative. Before joining the team, Rafael was an economist at the International Institute for Sustainability (ISS) in Rio de Janeiro and a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Economics, Business and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (FEA- USP) and the Center of Agricultural Economics and Environment of the Institute of Economics of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp).
He has expertise in Spatial Econometrics, Financial Economics and Mathematical Modeling applied to Geographic Information Systems. He is a deep admirer of indigenous cultures.
