Brazil Manager, WRI Brasil

Mariana is a Cities4Forests Brazil Manager in WRI Brasil’s Forest Program.

She supports the program’s management and operational processes. She is currently focused on the programmatic contents related to gender issues and the application of the Restoration Opportunities Assessment Methodology (ROAM) at the subnational level in Brazil, supporting the development of analyzes and strategies for forest landscape restoration.

Mariana has a BSc degree in Geography from São Paulo State University. During her studies, she has participated in several initiatives focused on entrepreneurship and also had the opportunity to contribute with Alcoa’s corporate sustainability team in Brazil. Mariana has completed an environmental management post-graduate course at the University of São Paulo, where she has developed research on ecosystem services.
