Water Funds Toolbox

Developed by: The Nature Conservancy

Launched in 2018

Why Use the Tool

The Water Funds Toolbox offers a step-by-step guide to help local champions replicate and implement the Water Funds model. The guide is organized around a five-step process: feasibility, design, creation, operation, and maturity. Each step offers guidance through videos, readings, and additional resources. The Nature Conservancy defines a water fund as a regional collective action platform where stakeholders from all sectors convene, coordinate, and collaborate to help improve water security through science-based systemic change.
