Why Use the Tool
The Complete Streets program encourages cities to develop more accessible and integrated urban areas, such as by using pedestrian-scale lighting or green infrastructure. The Complete Streets workbook offers an introduction to the various forms of the Complete Streets policy. It is intended to be used during the development of a city or county’s Complete Streets policy and in concurrence with this inventory of Complete Streets policies, which has examples of well-written existing policy language chosen from among the 1,500 policies in the United States.
