Sod-Erdene Davaadorj
Grants and Finance Manager, World Resources Institute
Sod-Erdene (Sodoo) Davaadorj is the Grants and Finance Manager for Cities4Forests and the Natural Infrastructure Initiative, leading their operational and financial management and supporting project implementation in 11 countries. His project responsibilities include budget planning and monitoring, executing grant agreements, managing funds and financial reports while ensuring compliance with funder requirements and regulations, and administrating sub-grants and contracts.
Prior to joining WRI, Sodoo worked in Basic Education and Health and Social Policy programs for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Mongolia country office. In this role, he primarily managed and monitored program funds and procurements and carried out financial trainings for all implementing partners. He also has experience in audit and banking sectors.
Sodoo holds a B.S. in Finance from State University of New York and a M.P.S. in International Development – Food Security from Cornell University. Sodoo lives in DC with his wife, Haliuna, and daughters, Marlaa and Mandala.
He enjoys spending time and traveling with his family.
