Success Story

Kumasi was named the “Garden City of West Africa” by Queen Elizabeth in 1940 after she saw how beautiful the city looked with trees providing clean air, shades, and plenty water. To restore the lost vegetative cover, the “KEEP KUMASI CLEAN AND GREEN” campaign was launched in 2018 to increase green cover, re-invigorate parks and line all the streets with trees.
