Yudhistira is a Flood Analysis Consultant for Cities4Forests at WRI Indonesia. He is responsible for developing research frameworks and methodologies to analyze major factors affecting the occurrence and intensity of floods in Jakarta, including the relationship between land cover and climate change. He also explores the opportunity to adopt Nature-based Solutions (NBS) such as forest conservation and restoration in watersheds and along rivers as an alternative solution to mitigate flood problems in Jakarta.
Prior to joining WRI Indonesia, he worked as a GIS engineer in the private and public sectors. He has been involved in a diverse set of projects, which generally related to disaster risk assessment and water resources. He holds a Master’s degree in Hydro Science and Engineering from Technische Universität, Dresden and received his Bachelor’s in Geography from the University of Indonesia. He loves to cook and is inseparable from noodles. He likes to spend his free time looking for the best noodles in his city.
