Resource Watch features hundreds of data sets all in one place on the state of the planet’s resources and residents. Users can visualize challenges facing people and the planet, from climate change to poverty, water risk to state instability, air pollution to human migration, and more. Resource Watch allows the user to track social and ecological changes with timely, regularly-updated data in customizable dashboards.
Cities4Forests recommends Resource Watch as its numerous datasets allow for a more integrated perspective on factors affecting land-use change. City officials can easily create their own dashboards on specific issues of interest. Although the data resolution may not yet be useful for some city projects, Resource Watch is a powerful tool for regional planning.
