Andry Rasamuel
Madagascar Communications Specialist, WRI Africa
Andry is the Cities4Forests Communications Specialist for World Resources Institute in Madagascar, where he also supports Global Forest Watch (GFW).
Andry likes to use his Malagasy eye to communicate the culture and peculiarities of his country. He advocates for communications originating from local contexts and translating them for global relevance, trying to overcome the intercultural misunderstanding through images and videos within the different regions and social groups within Madagascar. Andry produces communications materials to promote Cities4Forests and GFW activities in Madagascar, especially aimed at conserving different types of forests.
Prior to joining WRI, Andry worked as an IT Manager for the top brewery in Madagascar and for the Research & Conservation Program of the Missouri Botanical Garden in Madagascar.
