Cities4Forests’
Brooklyn Bridge Forest proposal was selected as a finalist for
Reimagining Brooklyn Bridge – an international design competition to make the famous bridge safer, more accessible, and more sustainable. Our proposal seeks to restore the bridge’s pedestrian promenade with sustainably-sourced tropical hardwood from a community-managed forest in Guatemala’s Maya Biosphere Reserve, establishing a “
partner forest” model that can be replicated by other cities and communities. Please support our proposal and vote by 30 July to support forest-friendly supply chains.
