This invite-only i-Tree capacity building workshop hosted by WRI Mexico will cover three days of training in tree inventory and characterization with the use of i-Tree software. During the workshop, participants will learn the basics of the i-Tree tools and the fundamentals around planning tree inventory projects on the first day, followed by deeper usage lessons and on-site tree sampling on the second day, and specific project planning on the third day. As part of the extended offers for Cities4Forests cities, the first two days of the workshop will be followed by Experience Sharing Sessions, in which participants from different Mexican and Brazilian cities will share their experiences regarding managing parks and forests, estimating costs and benefits of vegetation, and innovating within their work in green infrastructure and forest management.
